The upcoming Summer issue has us in the mind of vacations and holidays. So for this challenge, let's take the New York out of Law & Order -- in fact, let's take the whole United States out of Law & Order. Write a story that places one or more L&O characters in a foreign setting, from Morocco to Montreal, from Sydney to Samarakind. But remember, not one bit of the story -- not even a flashback -- can take place in the U.S.
Be creative! Be exotic!  Throw a dart on a map and write about that place, pick an Olympic games for your setting, imagine a flight that lands in a destination unintended (please, be original if you're gonna do a Castaway clone) -- or this could be your big chance to do a crossover with a foreign TV show.  But remember, make it 5,000 words or fewer. (If you have a gem that's longer than that, submit it as a regular story!)
Summer Challenge Deadline:July 1, 2001
