This time, challenge authors had to write
a story dealing with extreme climate.
Here are a few responses.
The Third Annual Blue
Wall Award Winners
Congratulations to our winners, chosen
by you, our readers! Here's our
best from 1999 to 2000, re-linked for your
reading ease. Congrats to the
winners -- next year, perhaps we'll combine
the awards with the convention! |

ALERT! Two challenges face
you now!
One: For our
Spring 2001 issue, here's your regular challenge: This time, rewrite some
Law & Order history. Start out with something established in canon
(Mike's molestation, Claire's death, Stone's resignation, Max's death)
and take a left turn. Tell us in the story why things didn't happen as
they did on the show -- that is, write about the intervening act -- and
then tell your story about what might have been. Again, 5,000 words or
fewer.
Spring Challenge Deadline: February
15, 2001
Two: We will
not be having a holiday page/challenge this year, due to
lack of time on the part of the editors. However,
we will be having a special Valentine's Day page instead. So send us stories
focusing on Valentine's
Day and/or specific romance (or, if you can
come up with some other V-day connection, like the St. Valentine's Day
Massacre, that works), and make it 5,000 words or fewer. The page will
come out February 14, before the
Spring issue. If you have any concerns about
meeting the challenge, feel free to write us!
